Al margen de la catástrofe ecológica y medioambiental, los incendios son capaces de cambiar, completamente, el paisaje sonoro de un lugar en muy poco tiempo. Durante el incendio mismo, pero también a medio y largo plazo, en los meses y años que vendrán después. Con la tala de la madera quemada, que acabará vendiéndose a precio de saldo, para regocijo de la industria maderera, las máquinas se apoderan del bosque. Un bosque que quedará desnudo, visual y acústicamente, sin esos árboles que, aunque tendamos a verlos como seres silentes, se llevan consigo la sonoridad propia de nuestros espacios verdes.
